The story takes place in 1969, five years after Zambia's independence and before the U.S. launched Apollo 11. A Zambian teacher set up an aerospace academy on his own initiative and worked to launch his country's rocket before the U.S. launched its moon rocket. But due to a lack of technology and funding, their project their project did not come to fruition. But this event made the world aware of the country, and in the days to come, Zambia would exist as an independent state. It was an anti-colonial burlesque and an attempt for freedom.
